Knitting products，featured with the special structure and excellent performance, are widely applied to various garments such as underwear, fashion, T-shirts, sweaters, sports wear etc. They are also widely used as industrial textiles in transportation, advertisement, electric power, automobile industries etc., apart from their fashion and home-textile regimes.
To promote the development of Knitting products and technology, China Knitting Industry Association and CCPIT TEX will cooperatively organize “China International Knitting Trade Fair” ( hereinafter referred to as “China Knittnig”) in Shanghai New International Expo Centre on August 29-31, 2007.
“China International Knitting Trade Fair”, underlining New Material, New Process, New Equipment, New Trend as priority , will turn out to be a calendar rendezvous for global knitting business, being state-of – the-art in its full dimensions. It is the organizers’ principle to invite only top grade enterprises that produce high qualified fashion knitwear, new knitting yarn, advanced knitting machinery etc. to exhibit the most advanced products related to knitting industry.

Indisputably, China is a huge market for knitting products as can be proven by its averaged RMB 200 Billion market consumption every year, with the increased rate of sales value in domestic market 10% higher than that in its overseas selling, further materializing its great domestic market potentials in a convincing trend in China.

China National Textile & Apparel Council (CNTAC), the former Ministry of National Textile Industry of China, is the national federation of all textile-related industries. It functions as the supervisor of the performance of the whole industry by working out the regulations and rules and industrial standards. At the same time it provides information & consulting services for the textile enterprises and promotes international technical and economic cooperation and communications by sponsoring trade meetings, international conferences, seminars, and domestic and international exhibitions.

China Knitting Industry Association (CKIA) is one member under China National Textile & Apparel Industry Council, consisting of over 400 large-scale enterprises of knitting industry, and keeps a close contact with 5000 knitting enterprises across the country, with the vertically-integrated production chain of yarn, fabric, dyeing-printing & finishing, all the way through to the finished products in three regimes: apparel( plus its accessories like bra, hosiery, gloves, scarf),home-textile and industrial textile. The main purpose of CKIA is: to promote the development of Knitting industry through:
1) setting industrial standards , and guides the whole industry to be self-disciplined for establishing a fair, just ,rule-keeping and orderly market system.
2) organizing Technology Seminar, business mission trip, Trade Fairs, International Knitting Conference, New Product & Fashion Trends Show etc. to pushing forward the scientific and technological progress in the knitting industry and to help local knitting companies merchandize in domestic and international markets.

The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT TEX) was founded in 1988. CCPIT TEX has been devoted to the promotion of trade contact and economic cooperation in textile and garment industry between China and foreign partners.
