1.Four "Fashion Killers" marched into China

In March 2006, ZARA landed Shanghai, and achieved RMB800, 000 at the first few months. H&M on Jun. announced its schedule of opening a retailer store in China the next year. Spanish top fashion brand ZARA, together with GAP (USA), H&M (Sweden) and C&A (Germany), which are called Top "Fashion Killers", are expected to assemble in China in two years.

2.Nineteen of world famous fashion brands united to search for counterfeit in China

Nineteen of world famous fashion brands , including Adidas, Puma etc, united to safeguard their rights in China. One employee of Baker & McKenzie, the world’s leading global law firm who take agency service for these brands’ IPR (Intellectual Poverty Rights) issues, said the first step of United Rights-Safeguard Activity would start in four cities, i.e. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. And they scheduled to take a whole year to search and strike with counterfeit lead by relevant government department. 

3.Li Ning: Launch global strategy

In June 2006, Li Ning Company Ltd. announced to launch its global strategy. This strategy contains an Advertisement Marketing with Chinese characteristics. Company was signed with Chinese Ping-Pong Team, Diving Team, Shooting Team, Gym Team and Spanish Men/Women Basketball Team of 2008 Beijing Olympics to be their uniforms supporter, in aiming to foster their global brand image.

4.70% World top fashion brand land in Shanghai

80% of China top fashion brands set or intend to set head office, design center or sales center in Shanghai. Meanwhile, 70% of world top 100 brands have already landed there. Shanghai becomes the fashion design and trade center, and relevant professional talents are most hotspots in this field.

1.Sino-Japan Development and Cooperation Conference for Textile Industry to Discuss Future Cooperation Strategy

In the 2nd Sino-Japan Development and Cooperation Conference for Textile Industry, held in Beijing on March 20, 2006, the sponsors of which--China National Textile Industrial Council and Japan Fiber Industry Federation exchanged their opinions on the status & development perspective of textile industry, the development perspective of small-middle-sized textile enterprise and the bi-cooperation in textile technology, trade, environmental protection, resource-saving etc.

On Nov.23, Beijing Creative Industry Center - University of the Arts London was launched formally. 4.Sino-Italy agreement in business cooperation

On Nov.29, the chairman of China Council for the promotion of International Trade - Wan Jifei and the chairman of Italy Foreign Trade Council signed . Both sides will apply themselves to promoting mutual investment of small-middle-sized enterprise, furthering the fair cooperation and exchange visits and training young managers. 

5.China will be the biggest textile supplier for India

India Business Association rendered in Jan.4 that China has been the biggest textile supplier of India, whose textile import value has increased from 78.71million USD four years ago to 0.54881billion USD for 2004-2005, China textile import value accounting for 36.53% instead of 13.17% before four years.

6.China apparel brands debuted in catwalk of Milan Fashion Week

On Sep.25, Milan Fashion Week’ first admission of China apparel brands-China Brand Promotion at overseas: "Milan Fashion Week-Style China in Milan" is held in Milan Fashion Week. Eight China famous apparel brands-Shanshan, Lily, Silique etc debuted in catwalk of Milan Fashion Week for first time. The difference between China apparel brands and global super brands in creation and fabric application can be seen to be narrowed by China stylists.

7.China JEFEN drew the veil of Paris Fashion Week

As"The Show for Opening of Paris Fashion Week", The issuance of China fashion brand JEFEN was held in Carrousel Hall of Louvre Museum Paris. It is the debut of China stylist brand creation in important fashion stage. The stylist-Xiefeng selected "Door" as the logo of his creations because "door"is the sample of China entering into world fashion field.

3.Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China invested 0.7billion Yuan to build regional brand system

To break through the deadlock of brand promotion, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce took out 0.7billion to support brand building system composed by Brand Appraising, Brand Accelerating, Brand Protection, Brand Promotion.

4.Environmental Protection should be considered during textile industry development

The electricity cost for unit textile production in 2010 should be decreased by 10% than 2005,the water cost for unit textile production down by 20% than 2005, the sewage let for unit textile production down 22% than 2005. This year, China National Development & Reform Committee issued <"Eleventh Five-year plan" for textile industry> where 11 main guide lines and 3 restrictive guides are listed. The inners interpreted:" The reform for environmental protection is necessary for textile industry. "

5.Five Departments promulgated regulation to control retail market

In November, five departments issued that forbids retailers’ expropriation from supplier and impose any unequal contract on supplier.

4.A strategic cooperation federation of women’s wear enterprise from Shenzhen & Hangzhou is established

On April.4, Shenzhen City Trade & Industry Bureau and Hangzhou Leader Office for developing silk & women’s wear industry signed cooperation contract between Shenzhen and Hangzhou. To promote the development of China women’s wear industry, Hangzhou and Shenzhen build strategic cooperative relationship.

5."A gold time" for seizing Shanghai transferring industry

At present, Shanghai industry structure is being adjusted and transferred. Over 10 textile enterprises under Shanghai Textile Stock-Holding (Group) Co. are being moved to Dafeng in North-Suzhou, which is the biggest ?scale industry transferring in the history of Shanghai Textile Industry, as well as the biggest scale one accepted by Jiangsu Province.

2.The first Textile quota trade platform was opened in Shanghai

First online textile quota trade platform was opened in Shanghai, June. This platform, called as "Online platform for exchanging provisional textile quota"formally and supported by Shanghai government dedicates itself to increase the usage rate of Shanghai textile quota.  

3.First practice base for students major in apparel is born

Jiangyin Hailan Group with "China Oskar for fashion marketing" started up fashion design practice base. The students major in fashion design from ten famous universities including Qinghua University, Donghua University etc can practice in "Hailan Practice Garden for fashion deisgn". It is the first fashion design practice base in China.

4.First underwear production & research base was located in Dali

In October, the leaders from Dali town , Nanhai District, Foshan City, China National Knitting Industrial Council and Xi’an Polytechnic University-Apparel & Art Design College signed the contract to build first underwear production & research base in China. Three sides will take their advantages to promote industry innovation and the integrating of production, studying and research. 

5.China Textile & Apparel Fair is held in Germany

China Textile & Apparel Fair(Germany) was held during Nov.5-7, 2006 in Karlsruche, Germany. This is first exhibition held by China National Textile Industrial Council in Europe following with the one held in New York, US.

1.Over 20 textile & fashion enterprises were awarded as "Top 500 China Information Enterprises".

The veil of "2005 Top 500 China Information Enterprises " is drawn on February.2,2006. Over twenty textile, fashion, textile machine enterprises including Younger Group Co.,Ltd, Meterbowner Group, China Zhongfang (Group), Bosden Stock Co.,Ltd, Shangdong Demian Group, Qingdao Dongjia Textile machine Group etc were ranked in list.

2.Top Competitive Capability Enterprises

The appraising & issuance of Top Competitive Capability Enterprises for 2005-2006 was held in Beijing on April.26. The involved industries included: cotton textile, colored weaving, wool, hemp, chemical fiber, silk, dyeing, knitting, apparel, home textile etc. This appraising is aiming to erect "Enterprise Sample", "Model in field" and promote industry upgrading.

3.Ten top apparel brands was promoted in Beijing

In the evening of Sep.23, "Beijng Ten Top Apparel Brand" ? the highest honor in Beijing apparel industry was issued. Lining, White collar, Aimu, Yiwen, Shunmei, Xuelian, Shenshi etc were ranked into the list. As the enterprise with headquarter moved to Beijing years ago, owns 2.45billion turnover in 2005 and was ranked first in list.

4."The salable apparel brands in Shanghai market"was issued

On Nov.6, in the closing ceremony of Shanghai Fashion Week 2006, "Jinyi list-- The salable apparel brands in Shanghai market” was issued for first time. This list certified by Expert Committee according the inspecting statistic of apparel marketing of over 200 enterprises, over 1000 outlets from Shanghai Business Information Center and issued by Shanghai Business Information center, Shanghai Brand Promotion Center, Shanghai International Apparel Center. 

5.The veil of Fashion Award 2006 was drawn

On Nov.22, the prize giving ceremony of Fashion Award 2006 was held. China Fashion Design’s Association, the organizing committee of China International fashion week released bulletin for prize-giving, including China Fashion Award 2006, Brand for Fashion Week, Ten top fashion designers, ten top professional models, “Jinding award” for fashion design etc.

Before this, media shows that the "anti-bacterium sign"for part down wear enterprises were issued by China Anti-bacterium Material & Production Industry Association without authentication intelligence.
