Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT was sep up on Feb.10,2006 in Beijing. Mr. Zhang Yankai, Executive Vice Chairman of CCPIT TEX, and the Director for Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT, made an interview with a correspondent from China Textile News.
Correspondent: Why to have Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT?
Mr. Zhang Yankai: The important background to have Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT is to meet our textile industry development so as to deal with more and more legal dissension in textile industry in China. The purpose is to protect their interest avoiding their unnecessary economic loss by a new legal way. CCPIT TEX decided to sep up Textile Board of Mediation Center with CCPIT Mediation Center in order to improve our service for all the textile companies.
Correspondent: What difference do you think between Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT and other mediation organization?
Mr Zhang Yan Kai: The important difference is that Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT is a mediation organization in textile industry which will carry through banding together with the specialty in textile industry and the jurisprudence.
Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT will operate by engaging the legalists and textile experts as intercessors to make it sure that the agreement or the modulation documents will be good law and meet the textile industrial practice to satisfy the parties.
Correspondent: Would you please make a brief introduction to its basic mediation procedure?
Mr Zhang Yan Kai: The company could make an application to the secretariat of Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT if the company wants to settle their legal dissension by modulating. Textile Board of Mediation Center, CCPIT will mediate by making choice of a conditioner from textile industry and one from legists after the Board accepts and hear the case. The parties could have the amicable agreement or mediation document mediated by mediator. The parties can also present the agreement or the document to China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission to arbitrate if the parties refuse to implement and the court of arbitration will make an arbitration.
